Our 24/7 Voluntary Blood Centre ensures no patient is denied safe blood. We strengthen community resilience through disaster preparedness training, certified First Aid programs, subsidized ambulance services, and compassionate rescue and rehabilitation for street wanderers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our volunteers served in hospitals and COVID Care Centres, supported safe management of deceased persons, and helped maintain blood reserves and vaccination drives. In the 2004 Tsunami, they ensured dignified disposal of bodies under challenging conditions. During the Gaja Cyclone, our teams led search and rescue efforts, distributed relief, and cleared debris to restore safety.
With 16 active Sub-Branches, we deliver grassroots services including blood camps, health awareness, and disaster response. Our Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Junior Red Cross (JRC) units nurture leadership, empathy, and public service among students
